Here is a list of the 3 most common problems with XBOX 360.

3 Red Lights – The three red lights usually referred to as the red ring of death or RROD are an indication of hardware failure.  If you own an XBOX you have most certainly heard of the red ring of death and probably live in fear of getting it.  The good news is even if you get it, it does not necessarily mean the death of your XBOX.

Most of the time these types of hardware failures are caused by overheating.  If your console is getting too hot it can wreak havoc on it and actually cause the GPU and CPU to lose contact.  Once this happens your XBOX will not work until it is repaired.

Scaler Chip Burn Out – This is another big problem with the XBOX consoles.  Scaler chip burnout is indicated by a single red ring on the console box.  The scaler chip deals with AV cable input and the signal that goes to your console.  This problem is also fixable but like with the three red lights you are not going to be gaming until you get it done.

DVD Driver Error – This one will also put you out of commission.  Basically what happens is that the connectors in the back of the DVD drive have absorbed too much heat.  This causes your DVD drive to stop functioning which means it cannot read discs at all which makes it impossible to play games or watch movies.

Here is a list of the 3 most common problems with Playstation 3 PS3.

Yellow Light of Death is caused by overheating of the mother board.  We reflow the motherboard and apply new thermal compound to the heat sinks.  The reflow process does not use any parts and you will lose none of your data.  At time we are required to use our patent pending professional reballing process.

The blinking red light is the same problem known as Yellow Light of Death (YLOD) but not always.  All game discs found inside consoles will be returned with the console.  Thank you for choosing the Console Doctor.

Disc read problems.  Sometimes the PlayStation 3 has problems reading discs when you insert them.  Games and movie discs constantly freeze or does the loading icon in the top-right of the screen rotate endlessly.  Error codes 80010514 or 80029906 will begin to occur.  A blu ray laser replacement will fix the problem permanently.

Here is a list of the 3 most common problems with Nintendo Wii.

Nintendo Wii Logo

One common Nintendo Wii error is the unresponsive control because of bright light interference. You need to consider the fact that Nintendo Wii will allow you to play with games with a remote control. Now, if the gaming console is unable to respond to the commands you do when you use the remote control, it is most probably because of bright lights or certain lights that may interfere with the signal that the remote control sends to the gaming console.

The reason for this problem is that the sensor bar in the Wii gaming console where its primary function is to detect any changes in position of the remote control will get interfered with specific lighting, particularly bright lights. Now, in order to avoid experiencing this problem, you might want to play your Nintendo Wii in a dimly lit room. This will allow better gaming experience as you will never experience unresponsive gaming console to the controller due to bright lights.

The second problem that most people experience when playing with Nintendo Wii is crashing or slowing down of performance. Usually, this problem occurs after about 10 hours of straight game play. It is believed that the cause of this problem is the overheating of the processor or the whole component inside the gaming console. To solve this problem, you may want to turn off your Wii and let it cool down for about 10 minutes and turn it on again. Usually, doing this will solve the problem but if you want to prevent experiencing this kind of problem again, you may want to make sure that the warm air trapped inside the gaming console is able to escape by making sure that the fans are working properly.

Although this problem poses a concern to Wii gamers, you will see that only a fraction of gamers who plays more than 10 hours straight with their Nintendo Wii experiences this kind of problem. So, all in all, this problem isn't a very big deal.

These are the common problems that you may experience while playing with Nintendo Wii. With this knowledge, you can be sure that you will be able to prevent experiencing these problems.
